Produced by Luce Cinecitt\u00e0, organized by Camilla Cormanni and Paola Ruggiero, the retrospective has offered to the American public the chance to admire all the director&#8217;s masterpieces, starting from the recently restored films, <strong>Death in Venice<\/strong> and <strong>Ossessione<\/strong>, and the re-print from the original negative of a new 35mm copy of <strong>Ludwig<\/strong>, in the version never seen by Visconti, who was forced to cut it.<\/p>\n<p>After the <strong>Harvard Film Archive<\/strong>, the <strong>Lincoln Center in New York<\/strong>, where it was the most successful retrospective in its history, the <strong>TIFF in Toronto<\/strong>, the <strong>BAMPFA in Berkeley<\/strong>, the <strong>National Gallery of Art in Washington <\/strong>and the <strong>Gene Siskel Film Center<\/strong> in Chicago, the <strong>Museum of Fine Arts<\/strong> in Houston, the <strong>Wexner Center for the Arts<\/strong> in Columbus, <strong>the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque<\/strong>, the tour ends Los Angeles at the <strong>American Cinematheque<\/strong> ( February 7 &#8211; March 31, 2019).
